  You can't. You can set its duration to 0 ms, then add a keyboard_input item directly after the Sketchpad. Set its allowed input to enter.

  BTW: you might want to have a look at the tutorials.

  Hi Edwin! Thank you so much for your help! I have actually exhausted the tutorials (but if this step is inside of them somewhere, by all means point me to it... I must be missing it b/c I can't find it anywhere).

  Hi Edwin! -- Unfortunately it did not work. Any idea why this could be? Also, there was no "keyboard_input item. Only a keyboard_response item.

  Hi,

  You're right. It is indeed the keyboard_response item, Edwin was talking about.
  But what exactly is not working? Can you maybe send a screen shot of these 2 items (Sketchpad and Keyboard_response)?

  Just to be clear, the sketchpad's duration should be set to 0 and the one of the keyboard_response to 'infinite'. Additionally, the field "allowed responses" should contain "ENTER" (without quotes).

  Hi Eduard -- Thank you for your continued support. I did all of the things mentioned. I put an "0" in the duration of the sketchpad that goes before the the keyboard_response item. And in the keyboard_response item, I set allowed responses to ENTER, as well as infinite (with no quotation marks) This did not create the intended effect. The intended effect is to have an instruction screen that reads "Press Enter to Continue", and then the subject should be able to press enter and the experiment starts. I will work on screenshots.

  Hi,

  Does this only happen, when you specify only Enter as allowed key, or also if you leave this field empty?

  Hi Everybody,

  I am building a Go/No-Go task on OpenSesame using Javascript, and I am having some problems with keypress. On the task participants have to press the Space bar, but on breaks and instructions i want them to press the key Enter. I have added the item keyboard_response and on the allowed responses the Enter, but it still acepts the space bar. Can somebody help me with this ?
