Format error during experiment

edited February 2016 in OpenSesame

Hi all,

I started my data collection and it all was going alright, till a moment when I was running it, and suddenly the experiment had an error coming up and stoping the run, saying:

Unexpected error
line: 47
exception message: The picture file '12CICT_MC' does not exist
exception type: IOError

I tried different things:

  1. change the image that is presented in the message as I thought it could be some problem with the image itself.
  2. Tried to make a new pool with all of the images I am using.
  3. Build a new experiment exactly equal to the first one, new images this time.

No option was possible to solve my problem.

Do you think it might be because I'm using mac instead of a windows? (it's the only explanation I could find in the end of all of these attempts...

If someone had the same problem I would be very glad to hear from you.

Many thanks!
Francisco

    Hi Francisco,

The first thing I'm thinking is: the picture file is missing its extension (e.g. '.jpg', '.png'). Are you sure that it works without extension for other pictures?

    Cheers,

    Josh

    Hi Josh,

All of the other pictures work till it gets this error. And even if I change the extension it will keep saying there is the same error (in the same picture or in another one) :/

    Thanks!
    Best regards,
    Francisco
