[open] Forms don't work/react, just need to implement simple instructions (OS 3.0.5)

edited March 2016 in OpenSesame

I'm trying multiple ways (forms) to implement a simple text display for instructions in my experiment. Every time I run the experiment there's no reaction at keypress, or mouseclick, or the OK button (I tried a lot options with these). It gets stuck, there's no option to quit the experiment (no reaction at esc), I have to wait for minutes and the display also gets checkered.
I'm working with Opensesame 3.0.5 in PsycoPy backend. So unfortunately no simple duration settings etc, as in the older version.
My whole experiment is already set up, only these super easy settings just don't work? Would really appreciate the solution!

    Hi Ellen,

Just to be sure; your experiment works fine when you leave the instruction form out? And what happens when you run a form_text_display item in a new experiment? (so just a dummy project with the form item alone). And what platform are you using?

    Cheers,

    Josh

    Hi Josh!

Yes it works without the forms (when I put the forms on run if: never). In a new experiment the forms do react on the right manner. I'm using windows 7.

    Hi Ellen,

Just to be clear, is this form in the dummy experiment the same as you use in your real experiment, or just the default form?

Maybe you could share the code for this form, or even your experiment with us?

    Thanks,

    Eduard
