Problem with German Umlaute (Ä, Ö, Ü)

Hi!
I'm trying to enter German texts into sketchpads and forms but I don't succeed using German Umlaute like ä, ö and ü.
I also tried it with html and the according HTML equivalents (e.g. ü) and unicode (ü) but it doesn't work. An Ü either becomes an U or it gets omitted completely.
How could I solve this problem?

  • Am I the first with this kind of problem?
Doesn't OpenSesame use unicode, so that these kind of problems should be gone? Or do I have to activate unicode somewhere?
I'm a bit lost here and hope that somebody can help me...

  • Hi Jaykob,

Can you upload your experiment? I can't reproduce the error. My Umlaute are all present the correct way.

  • OK, I'm really sorry!
It seems like my custom font ttf file didn't have the capital Ü,Ö and Ä included.
As this is my first experiment with OpenSesame I didn't suspect the font file.
I got a working font file now and everything is fine.
So thanks for your help and the hint that it's not OpenSesame which I should blame :D
