Help with correct response variable: not recorded correctly in data file

Hi,
I have a problem with the accuracy, correct, and correct_keyboard_response variables not being recorded correctly in the log file. I assume this means there is something wrong with the correct_response variable? I have defined the correct response variable in the loop tables, but in the log file it records "0" on all trials for the above variables, regardless of input.
Earlier in the process, I had a problem with a run if statement containing the correct response variable in my practice trials not being recognized. I fixed that by doing [response]=[correct_response], but now I think it is indicative of a larger issue?
I am currently using a mac, but I have built a very similar experiment on windows and did not encounter this problem. I am not sure what I've done wrong, but I am new to OpenSesame and have no programing experience, so I'm sure it's something super obvious... I have attached the experiment. Any help appreciated!

  • Hi Evans,

This is indeed a bug. However, there is good news. This error was reported on Github and has already been fixed. So your options are:

    1) Update Opensesame to the most recent version (3.1.3)
    2) use non-numeric responses

    Hope this helps.
