SEM Lavaan convergence problem

Hi guys!

I would like to know why, when we use "residual variance" as the option for "factor scaling" feature in Lavaan, we get no p-values for the factor and its factor predictors (in the case of a second order factor). Additionally, what is the difference beteeen "factor loadings" and "residual variance" as options for "factor scaling". My model only converge using "residual variance" or "none" option.

Thank you all a lot for the attention

best regards

  • Hi Cesar,

Sorry for the tardy response, I was stuck in a French swimming pool for a while. I will pass your question on to our SEM expert.

    Cheers,
