HEy renske, You could do that for example: # init a formgender_check = Form(exp, cols = 1, rows = 6, spacing = 10, margins = (100,100,100,100), theme = u'gray')# create the objectslabel = Label(text = "blabla")checkbox1 = Checkbox(text =…

Oh and also for managing the variable the way you want with the checkboxes look here: http://osdoc.cogsci.nl/3.2/manual/forms/variables/
-
Hello renske, What you can do is defining a variable associated, for instance, to a group of checkbox, like this example: # init a formgender_check = Form(exp, cols = 1, rows = 6, spacing = 10, margins = (100,100,100,100), theme = u'gray')# create…

Hello, I think you are just forgetting to execute your form at the end of the script. For instance you could do: # init a formgender_check = Form(exp, cols = 1, rows = 6, spacing = 10, margins = (100,100,100,100), theme = u'gray')# create the obje…

Hello, Maybe you could try to update opensesame (latest version is 3.2.4 I think) and see if the canvas issue is still there?
-
Wow it is so odd. Two questions: * if you just open the zip file ABXnew.zip I posted, run it without any modification the error still happens? * what is the version of open sesame you are running?
-
Hello, In line 2 of the script I sent do you have: canvas_response = Canvas() If some reason you have: canvas_response = Canvas Just add the parenthesis () Best, Sylvain

Hey, OK so I just tried the same thing on ubuntu (without upgrading psychopy) and got the same traceback for the second issue I was refering to. What solved at least the consistency between OSX and windows is upgrading psychopy with the version 1.…

Hey Sebastiaan, Thank you for the answer! I installed shapely and indeed adding these lines at the very beginning seems to work very well! I know have other issues with arrows (I originally worked on windows, now this week on osx and I encounter od…

Hello Lea, Could you just create a zip file with your experiment (images+opensesame code) if it is not too heavy it could be easier to check. Best, Sylvain
-
Hello, Ok there were several issues: * first in your script you had in your loop empty row. Be careful to get as many rows as trials, sometime it is easy not seeing that one row if filled with empty cells and then no sound in your case can be foun…
-
Oh actually I think I noticed something. The issue is only happening for arrows that are not in a vertical or horizontal direction. Like if all the pixels in a square around the arrows were considered as belonging to it.
-
Could you post a zip where you also include your sound otherywise I cannot run it. Thanks!

Hey, Try to remember that your canvas is just like a canvas with a name. For instance: my_best_canvas = canvas() then my_best_canvas would be the name where you will put everything (circles, buttons...). Here in your script in your first line you…

Hey, In order to do that I would rather use a canvas with a little bit of scripting. Basically first define the correct answer in your table: (Image) Then just after the third_delay define an inline script. In the prepare phase you are defining …

Yeah I could hep but you need to tell us what you intend to do I do not really get it. I see from your screen capture that at the end of the sound sequence there is a reaction button slide and mouse response. What is the task of the subjet then? Wha…

If you do this and enter random, it means that the whole sequences (A-B-B...) will be randomized. The way you could think about it is that each line in your table are and stay a single trial. So if you have: * line 1: A-A-A * line 2: B-B-B * line 3…

Hey Eduard, Yes I get it, it makes sense. It is like a single update of the screen. Much more simple than what I imagined! Thanks! Best, Sylvain
-
Hello, Well I am no way an expert but the way I would design it would be as follow: * create a table with at least three columns: first_sound, second_sound, third_sound; (Image) * fill your table with the various sequence you want to use, remem…

OK so I answer to myself it could be useful for someone with the same question. Finally I ended up using the second strategy: * I first create my stims with psychopy and makes capture using getMovieFrame and saveMovieFrames. It creates the stims an…

Hey Eriadh, Something like this happened to me a while using special characters. Jus try to insert at the very beginning of your experiment an inline with this: import sysreload(sys)sys.setdefaultencoding('utf-8') I hope it will work! Best, Sy…

Hey Eduard, No I just meant with your example: # advantage: it is more straightforward and you write less codemy_mouse = Mouse(visible=False, timeout = 2000) # 2 seconds timeout # showt = my_canvas_Practice_Sym.show()button, position, timestamp = m…

Hey Lea, When you are saying: (Quote) You are talking about the script of the your own experiment right? What I just mean is that on the script I joined in the previous message it is working, and what you are saying would suggest the var.item_to_p…

Perfect thank you! Best, Sylvain

Hey Eduard, Yes it is what I have done for now. However I need an object to be clickable and not the other one. I could trick the script in ignoring clicks on this element but would there be a way to do it easily? From what I noticed when I create…

Hey Joleen, Regarding your first question you can add the extension (.png) directly into the target_pic column (like RedBear.png). Then use: image = ImageWidget(path=pool[var.target_pic], adjust=False, frame=False) For the second question honest…

Hey Lea, For showing the pictures I advice you to check this page http://osdoc.cogsci.nl/3.2/manual/forms/widgets/ . Everything is explained about the widgets, but you could do it this way: from libopensesame import widgetsform_rating = widgets.fo…

Hello Lea, OK I join a script doing that as an example when rating how you like letters (well just an example!!). (Image) The strategy is as follow: * first at the very beginning of the script you see an inline where I define two lists list_ra…

Hey Eduard! Thanks a lot yes it helps! I just do not understand why in the first example the canvas stop after a mouse click. I mean there is nothing indicating that my_canvas_Practice_Sym.show() should disappear after a mouse click no? Thank you!…
