Grammaticality judgment task

Hello,

Open Sesame is completely new to me and I would need some help as to how I can do a grammaticality judgment task, having the sentences show up word by word. I do not know where/how I should do this- Is it in the wizard manager that I need to enter one word per column? And do I then need to add as many text displays as there are columns in the Trial procedure? And then how can I set a timing for each word but a response requirement only at the end of the sentence? Thank you for your help.

Welcome to the forum, a good place to start creating your experiment would be by checking out the tutorials. Anyway,

That depends on the length of your sentences, with short sentences you could indeed create a different column for every word. For longer sentences you might want to read them in as a list with an inline_script and split the sentences. Check out this topic for inspiration.

Yes, that might be an option, but only if you work with short sentences.

If the timing is equal for every word, you can insert it into the duration field of your sketchpad and on the last word where a response is required you insert keypress into the duration field.
