[resolved] OpenSesame Error - will not open following OS X El Capitan upgrade to 10.11.4
I recently installed OpenSesame 3.0.7 to my Mac without incident. Following an upgrade to OS X El Capitan 10.11.4, it now fails to launch. Error dialogue box says "OpenSesame Error" with two choices: "Open Console" and "Terminate". I tried reinstalling OpenSesame (no luck) and doing a clean relaunch from the Terminal (no luck). Anyone else experiencing this problem?

Nope. I can still launch OpenSesame 3.0.7 on a MacBook Mid 2009 running OSX 10.11.4
Can't think of anything else then the start clean you already tried :-(
Best,
Jarik
Thanks for the reply, Jarik. Mine seems to be working now(!). The only changes I made were the following: I updated(?) the Tcl/Tk version I'm running, following a warning I received ("WARNING: The version of Tcl/Tk (8.5.9) in use may be unstable. Visit http://www.python.org/download/mac/tcltk/ for current information."). Yet, despite performing the update, the warning message remains. I also ran Update Shell Profile.command (something that was sitting in my Python 3.4 folder). AND, I updated the (just released) Command Line Tools (OS X 10.11) for Xcode update. Then, I rebooted. Following reboot - everything seems fine. I am not saavy enough to know which (if any) of the things I did are related to the resolution, or if it was just a simple matter of my not having rebooted since the initial OS X 10.11.4 update I ran a couple of days ago. I hope something in here is helpful for you.
Yes, that is a known error and it is fixed in the new version of OpenSesame. Apparently on some systems, the mono font is already loaded by another app, or in general, making OpenSesame stumble if it tries to load the font itself. Just as a side question Imag, are you running from source, or are you using the app version of OpenSesame?
Thanks dschreij. In answer to your side question: I'm using the app version of OpenSesame.
