Missing a response in OS 3.1.3 based experiment

I programmed an experiment on OS 3.1.3 to accept 'y' or 'n' as user response. When I asked OS to print out which key was pressed, it shows only 'y' as the key being pressed consistently, even on trials where an 'n' was pressed. This is warping the accuracy of my experiment. This is only when I print out which key was pressed (using my_keyboard.get_key())

I have 30 trials which require a 'y' or 'n' response. My log file shows the first response as a space (which I think is because a spacebar is pressed to start the experiment and then shows 29 'y' or 'n' responses. So, I'm missing the response to one trial. How can I correct this?

Thanks,
Mike

  • Hi Mike,

Can you upload the experiment or give more details on the structure of your experiment? From the information you gave it is hard to tell what is going wrong.

    Thanks,

    Eduard
