Sketchpad's Duration, OSX Sierra and freeze

Hi everybody !

I'm on OSX Sierra 10.12.1, and to simplify the presentation of my problem :
1. If I set the duration of a first sketchpad_number1 to 2000ms, and of a second sketchpad_number2 to 2000ms, and start the experiment, a gray window appears for exactly 4000ms instead of displaying my two sketchpads.
2. If I set the duration of a first sketchpad_number1 to keypress, and of a second sketchpad_number2 to 2000ms, and start the experiment, my first sketchpad appears until keypress and after a gray window appears for exactly 2000ms instead of displaying my second sketchpad. And vice versa.
3. If I try on a PC, everything works.

Question : Is it the fault of OS X Sierra 10.12.1, which is too recent ?
PS : OpenSesame has always worked well when I was on earlier versions to Sierra.

I thank you in advance for your help

Rudy

    Hi Rudy,

I'm not on Sierra myself yet (I like to wait a bit before upgrading), so I can't really tell. The only way to find out if this problem is Sierra related, is to wait and see if more reports of the same problem roll in from other users who are already using Sierra. I see you are using the Legacy backend. Does the same problem occur if you use PsychoPy for instance?

  • Hi Daniel,

Great ! It works if i use PsychoPy ! I gonna see if more reports of the same problem roll in from other users who are already using Sierra but in the meantime I'll use PsychoPy backend.

Thank you very much Daniel for your reply and its celerity
