accuracy

Hello, I've just built a visual search test using OpenSesame for the first time. Would someone know where could be my mistake when I get max. 96,88% accuracy as the result of a test for which accuracy is actually of 100%? - i.e., I do everything correctly but the max I'm getting is that value.
Thank you.

  • Hi Raquel,

Could it be that your practice trials are included in the equation?
In any case, you also have the variable correct, which will always be a long column of 1's and 0's in your .csv file. You can calculate the accuracy based on that as well.

    Cheers,

    Josh

  • Hi Josh,

can you explain, how ich can calculate the accuracy based on correct in my file? Cause it´s a huge amount of datas it is not possible to do this by hand...

  • Hi,

In a spreadsheet program like Excel, LibreOffice or OpenOffice you can do this using a Pivot Table. To help you in a more precise way, we'll need to know what the independent variables / factors are in your experiment.

    Cheers,

    Lotje
