Problem with running the experiment
Dear all, I am just a beginner in opensesame and got absolutely no idea about coding in any language. I am doing my first project on OpenSesame. I don't understand why my instruction screen shows not only the instructions that I have typed but also a giant empty box when the trial runs. Moreover, I am trying to set the spacebar key as the response key to move on to the loop. But the instruction page just won't respond even if I press the space key. So how could I resolve those two problems? Many thanks.

Also for you, I recommend doing a bit of studying before starting your project. On the website of Opensesame you can find several tutorials of different difficulties that should get you started. Also in the manual there are several parts that you will find useful.
The problems that you describe sound like they can be resolved rather straightforwardly. Give it a try.
