Data Merger Error

Dear all,

I am having troubles with data merger.
I have 60 .csv files I got as output data from OpenSesame, and I am trying to merge them.
Every time I start merging files I get the following error:

Traceback (most recent call last):
File "/Users/dschreij/Documents/Datamerger/build/datamerger_osx/out00-PYZ.pyz/libdatamerger.datamerger_ui", line 159, in startMerge
File "/Users/dschreij/Documents/Datamerger/build/datamerger_osx/out00-PYZ.pyz/libdatamerger.sheet_io_tools", line 303, in mergeFolder
UnboundLocalError: local variable 'errorCount' referenced before assignment___

Does anybody knows how can I fix this?

Thank you in advance!

Andres

  • Hi Andres,

I have not encountered this error before; but it would be handy to know a little bit more about the data files and their structure, since most of the errors I have experienced were due to trying to merge files with different number of columns, or some other problem related to the structure of the data.

Also just to check: did you put all the files you want to merge in one folder without any other files there?
Did all the files come from the same experiment?

  • Hi Anders

I got an error once (can't remember the exact error) when some of the files were saved (not by opensesame but by a user) as a different form of csv file on a mac.
So maybe try going over your files and make sure that they are all the same type of csv that opensesame produces

    best,
    Tali
