Software issues with background and image colour

Hello,

Whilst using the program (Opensesame 3.1.6. Jazzy James) on a macOS Sierra, version 10.12.4, we are having issues with the background colour, where the different colour settings (black/white) are causing our images to change to grey. We are having issues with keeping the background set to the colour white, but when we do manage to change the background colour to white, the colour of our stimulus outline is grey. We have changed the setting in the script as well. However, when the background is black, the outline of the image remains black, which is what we want. So what we are looking to do, is to have a white background, without our image turning grey.

  • Hi Visionlab ,
I am not familiar with mac, but this looks like there might be some transparency in the outline of your stimulus, since with a black background any transparency would not be visible, you could try using other background colors and see if they also ''shine through" the stimulus outline. In any case it would be handy to know how to make your stimulus, are you drawing it in opensesame, or importing some predrawn image?
