Python crashes

edited August 2017 in OpenSesame

Hi there

I have started to program an experiment using python inline scripting. Unfortunately, the experiment almost always crashes (Error: Python seems to have crashed. This should not happen. If Python crashes often, please report it on the OpenSesame forum.), mostly after the first trial (that is, after the inline script ran once without problems). I can't figure out why and I have reduced it to a fairly simple structure which still crashes at the same time. Anyone who can help?

I have attached the experiment with the basic structure and 3 trials (which should be 10 in the end). I'm running it on a MacBook Pro (2016, macOS Sierra) on the latest OpenSesame release (3.1.8). Do you need any more info?

Thank you in advance!
Pierpaolo

  • Hi,
This seems to be an issue related to the Mac version of OpenSesame. I just tried it on Ubuntu and it worked just fine. Can you try to strip down the experiment as much as possible, while still preserving the crash and report this issue than on github? It sounds like a bug.

    Sorry,
    Eduard
