To count the loops to see another variable
Hi !
I'm very novice on opensesam and I want to encode repeated randomised trials with a stereotyped priming and typical keypress always on the same place. This picture could illustrate my question.
During the "equat" sketchpad the subject has to response by a mouseclick. In the "Black" sketchpad the subject has to press the "A" to see the next sketchpad "Phrase" which is a priming (pictures is simplified with only 4 sentences modelysed as "a","b","c",d" but in fact there is 16 modalities for "Phrase" in my study).
However, in the 2nd position (in the 7th really), I would like to present another variable named "Stereo" for "streotyped sentence" with a different keypress, namely "AB" (not just "A").
I tried an inline script but I failed... How can I count the loops and encode the conditions on my sketchpads.
Thank you for your answer !

Hi,
If you run your experiment for a few trials (without coding all special cases), you can have a look at the logfile and check out the all the variables. You will see that Opensesame automatically generates
count_XXvariables. These keep track how often a certain item in thesequencehas been called. If you selectcount_new_inline_script_2, for example, you should have a variable that is identical with the number of trials that have been run.I hope this puts you on the right track.
