CSV file repeated in trial-sequence

Hello!

I'm testing out to see how my data can be read in via a CSV file. I have generated one in notepad++ called list1.csv, which I added here as an appendix. Now when I just create a table in OpenSesame with these exact items it will only loop over the whole list once, which is indeed what I want. However as soon as I put in this csv file it loops over it for at least 3 times (I haven't tried longer, but I'm pretty sure it just goes on).
I have not changed anything in my settings and repeat is still on 1. Might there be something wrong with my CSV file or maybe the way I read it in?
I have also added a screenshot of my trail sequence in which you can see my settings.

I hope anyone has any tips!
Kind regards,
Sanne

  • Hi sanne,

Can you share both of the experiments?

  • Hi!

The strange thing is, someone told me to create a new project which is exactly the same things in it and then try again. I did this (my old project was ExperimentRoughDraft, while the current one is ExperimentDemo) and weirdly enough while my old project still has the same error, my new one does not.
Even though I have created them exactly the same?
I figured out that the old one loops over the list 5 times (I created a shorter list "lijst2.csv" to check this), which we first thought was because my original table was 5 items long, but there was no code left in which there was any mention of that 5.
Since I can continue on with my ExperimentDemo file it's not really a very pressing issue anymore, but I still thought I would share the two Experiment setups in case anyone still wanted to look at them.
At the moment they don't do a lot more than just going over different screens where you can press a button on the screen. The first fixation dots needs a keypress of the space bar for example and the rest just needs a press on any image you see!

    Kind regards,
    Sanne

  • Mh, I can't see anything obviously wrong. Maybe a corrupted file or something alike. Well, but if you have a working version, everything is good, I guess
