Hi,

I'm new in OpenSesame and it seems to be great and easy to handle !

I have a little question:

How do I set the duration of the display to be 2500ms long OR till subject's response?

Hi Erez,

Welcome to the forum!

To present a stimulus until a response is made or a certain timeout is reached, do the following:

• Set the duration of the stimulus-presentation item (e.g. a sketchpad) to 0 ms
• Append a response-collection item (e.g. a keyboard_response item) immediately after that
• And set it's timeout to 2500

Since the keyboard_response waits for a response, but doesn't change the screen, the stimulus will remain visible until a response has been given or 2500 ms have passed.
