[open] keyboard responses

edited June 2013 in OpenSesame

Hi

There is a problem in the program file, it needs two key responses in testing phase than the one. Is there any chance that you kindly have a look and advice how to fix it?

The file URL is:

Thanks in advance,
Masoud

    Hi Masoud,

In the trial sequences containing a 'testing' sketchpad (such as 'sequence12'), you collect two keyboard responses. Firstly, the sketchpad item (e.g. 'testing1') waits for a keyboard response, and then secondly you collect another keypress with the keyboard_response item ('responses').

To solve this, you could set the duration of the sketchpad item to zero. Since the keyboard_response waits for a response, but doesn't change the screen, the stimulus will remain visible.

Also, I think you should place the keyboard_response item before the logger item, if you want the given response to be logged. And perhaps using only one logger item is enough? You could just use 'append existing item' in for example 'sequence21' and chose the same logger ('logger12').

    Best,

    Lotje
