Post-hoc analysis with Scheffe analysis in multiple comparisons

Hi everyone,

I made an ANOVA with repeated measurement and selected as post hoc method Bonferroni and Scheffe, I got a table but with below nota

"Note.  Scheffe corrected p-values are not appropriate for repeated measures of post-hoc tests (Maxwell, 1980; Field, 2012). "

I couldn't find the references mentioned or an explanation about the note.

I will appreciate very much if you send me please the reference.

And the Andy Field reference is his statistics text book "Discovering Statistics using SPSS".
