MAD and MAD robust

Hi JASP team,

I was wondering if you could clarify the computation of MAD robust under descriptives. Is it the MAD adjusted for asymptotically normal consistency (with a constant of 1.4826) as described at https://stat.ethz.ch/R-manual/R-devel/library/stats/html/mad.html?

Hi Charles,

Yes, the robust MAD is ran with the constant set to the default option of the MAD function. For the regular MAD, we run the same function but specify the constant to be equal to 1.
