Module absent for SMI eyetrackers in PsychoPy distribution

edited April 2020 in OpenSesame

I've installed the latest PsychoPy distro (2020.1.3) and found out there is no module like ../eyetracker/hw/smi/iviewx/EyeTracker , whereas as I remember, it should be.

Was it deprecated? Since when? Why? [seems the answer is there]

If not, how do I add it manually? From which version? Are they compatible?

  • Hi,

If it is indeed a Python3 compatibility thing, you have to wait until SMI provides support for it. You might want to write them to inquire about that. But if the company doesn't exist anymore, that might be difficult...

    Sorry,

    Not a compatibility thing.

The module was just dropped, because 'doesn't exist anymore'.

    Anyway, we have Nystrom's SMITE.
