average_response_time vs. response_time

Hi There,

I used the "log all variables" logger in my OSWeb experiment. Now in the results I see that I have two variants: "average_response_time" and "response_time", and for some trials they are identical, and for some they are not. I'm interested in, well, the response time, so which one should I use for analysis?

Thanks!

  • Hi, does anybody know the answer?

  • Hi,

I don't know whether this is different from the regular experiment (it shouldn't), but normally, the average_response_time variable codes the response time, averaged since the last time the feedback has been reset, whereas the variable response_time is simply the response time for that particular trial.

    Does that make sense?
