Updated to 3.3.0 - now getting error messages

I updated OpenSesame to the newest version. Experiments ran fine before (3.2.-version, not sure which one precisely).

Open Sesame completely freezes up, so I cannot get the full traceback either. Sometimes the first error is identical but refers to line 1135. Not even the included example experiments will run. I tried different backends and no sucess.

Any suggestions how to fix this? I have run out of ideas.

  • Update: I tried to use the Python package manager to see if the issue was with one of the packages. "Show updates" searched for packages and around package 71, I got this error message

https://forum.cogsci.nl/uploads/286/MN4XSW685TIH.png There was an error displaying this embed.

Then I downloaded Open Sesame 3.3.0 with Python 2, in case that was the issue. Same error message as for the Python 3 version:

According to the console, Open Sesame cannot even open/create quickrun.csv.

I still can't scroll past the first traceback message, because OS just freezes up.

  • Gave up and reverted back to 3.2.8. - which is still a good few versions on from where I was before, so that will work fine for me. Maybe he bug reports are helpful anyway, give that I could not send them from Open Sesame.

  • Hi,

Can you try whether the problem was resolved in the 3.3.1 release? If not, could you post this issue on github? I can imagine it is frustrating if your experiment doesn't work after an update. But ideally we would want to fix it, rather than just reverting back to existing solutions.
