Is A way to record ID of participants?

Hi!

This regarding a study that I am trying to conduct online. I have divided participants into different groups and I am asking them to do a short time perception task using OS web. However, I have to generate single links for each participants in each category. I have to do this because I cannot record their ID number while they perform the task. How can I record the ID before they start the experiment. Like if they can enter their ID and start doing the task.

What I tried:

I tried doing the text input method which I came across in the following discussion

But it seems it doesn't work for me as the experiment gets stuck.

I was hoping if there is another way to record ID of the participants.

There is no error as such. The experiment doesn't go any further it just stays on the text input screen.

I don't see any item that waits for multiple-character text input (as this post was about, right?). Or maybe I'm missing something?

Hi @vatsalthebest ,

The only thing that was missing from your script, is that you didn't change the "Break-if" statement in your text_input sequence item to:

[response] = return or [response] = enter

Does that solve your problem?
