Stroop working on Jatos (desktop), but not on Jatos (mobile devices)

Hey guys,

I have been working for a long, long time on preparing a stroop test in OS and then importing it to Jatos. In the end, we want to run the stroop on mobile devices.

My current problem is the following:

When I open the (online) stroop-link on the desktop-monitor, everything is working fine. That means when I (correctly) tap on the yellow field, my answer is counted as a correct answer. The same applies to the other colours

When I open the link on a mobile device (we have tried different devices already), it seems like the assigment of correct answers is mixed up or rather damaged. That means, one of four colours is working properly, but for the rest it does not make a difference where I tap, my answer ist always counted as wrong.

I could send you one or two links so could see what I mean?

  • Hi Mad, this seems to be an OSWeb problem, not a hosting one (i.e., the script doesn't work as expected with touch screens.) I'll move your question to the OSWeb forum.

    Thanks a lot!

  • Hello again,

is there a chance to get some help on that topic?

  • Hi @Mad,

first of all, which version of OpenSesame/osweb are you using? It is hard to tell what is going on without knowing how you implemented the experiment, but as a general rule, if something works in OpenSesame and behaves differently in osweb, this generally means it is a bug in osweb. There were some issues with touch responses before, but these have been solved a few versions back as far as I am beware, so maybe an upgrade may help.
