Experiment keeps freezing on OS web (JATOS) but works fine on OpenSesame

Hi,

I have an experiment where participants response by mouse click. It's a simple [Sketchpad - Mouse response - Log] format. On the Sketchpad, I have areas sectioned out so depending on where participants clicked, it records A, B, C, etc... (Target stimulus appears on top so it covers the red boxes).

I was just wondering why it freezes when I run the experiment on the OS web (on JATOS) when it works fine on OpenSesame. Is it because mouse response function is less stable than keyboard response? I've never had issues with keyboard response.

Hi So So,

This is most likely a question for @Daniel. It sounds to me like you're using a feature that is implemented for OpenSesame but not for OSWeb (the two have two different underlying programming languages and not all features are supported in both).

So it doesn't have anything to do with JATOS itself

Hi @SoSo,

Are you using *regions of interest* by linking sketchpad items to mouse_response items? Regions of interest are indeed not supported in OSWeb. Could your issue be related to that?
