This fix first has to be approved and merged into the master files. Also, it is also possible that there will be other issues that needs fixing before a new version is released. So, it might take a little while more. However, as soon as this commited was merged, you will be able to get the latest snapshot from Github and work with that inofficial release.
I was the one who first reported this issue, and recently we found a pretty simple workaround. You can simply draw a rectangle on the sketchpad -in whatever color you like- which serves as a background. Then, you present all other stimuli on top of that rectangle. Maybe it could do the trick for you as well.
