measuring a behavioral rebound effect
Dear Community,
I am an absolut newby to open sesame and before I get started, I would be really grateful if anyone could tell me whether I can build my planned experiment with open sesame. It is not a classical psychological experiment since I am not interested in any psychometric parameters like reaction time or eye gaze. Instead I would like to model a behavioral rebound effect, with a "laundry washing scenario". There is two crucial points which I need to implement: the first one being an element in which the test subject is asked to "hang up the laundry" so I need a "drag and drop function" so the subjects can put clothing on a line (a defined area). The second one is a meter which indicates how much energy is being used with each laundry. So something like a calculator which adds a certain amount of energy and money to the meter after every trial.
I would be so grateful, if anyone could tell me whether this is theoretically possible, so I know I won't waste my time.
Thanks in advance, if there is any question regarding the experiment I would be happy to answer those.
cheers,
Liliann

Hi @Liliann_L ,
Thanks for your interest in OpenSesame. :)
Yes, it sounds like it is possible to program both parts of your experiment in OpenSesame. It will probably not be doable by using the graphical interface only, though. You will need quite some Python inline code as well.
Good luck and let us know if you have any further questions!
Best wishes,
Lotje
