Is JASP accessible and useable by people with vision impairment?

At my institution, all of the software used for teaching needs to be fully assessible for people of different physical abilities. Is JASP accessible for people with vision impairment? Can a screen reader read the information in JASP? Does anyone know about the accessibility of JASP?

  • Dear ladonnalr,

We get this question more often. A screen reader cannot be used with JASP effectively at the moment. Key-navigation is present but not fully implemented. So it would be hard to navigate even if the screen reader works. We are very much planning on adding full support for both but we do not think it will be available this semester (or maybe not even in the next).

We really do hope to get to adding it soon to JASP, but right now it isn't there yet.

    Cheers,

    E.J.
