Controlling for covariate in t-test

Hi all,

I tested memory between 2 independent groups and will like to control for a covariate (degree of presence felt in VR). May I know what frequentist test should I run for this and what is its Bayesian equivalent?

I believe that what you want to do is run an Analysis of Covariance, with two groups and one covariate.
