Heterogeneity between Subgroups
Hello together,
hope you can help me with my problem. I have performed a subgroup analysis in the course of my meta-analysis. So I wanted to ask you how I can calculate the heterogeneity (I^2 = xy %) between the subgroups?
I would be very grateful if you could help me,
Nik

I'll ask around

Hi Nik,
I asked the team, and one of the members, Raoul, indicated that he had already discussed this issue with you. Is anything unclear? If you want follow-up advice it is probably best if you summarize the previous discussion first.
Cheers,
E.J.
Hello E.J.,
Raoul has already helped me a lot and I could now complete my analysis.
Here is the solution to my problem (for people who may have the same problem in the future):
I used my moderator variables (factors) as predictors in the meta-regression model. Thus, the omnibus test shows whether the factor moderates the effect (significantly). If the omnibus test is significant, the effects of the subgroups differ noticeably.
The effect sizes of the individual subgroups were calculated using the filter function.
The difference between subgroups (I^2) was calculated with the Q-value of the omnibus test. This formula was used for this purpose:
I hope my solution is correct and you can confirm it.
Cheers,
Nik
