OpenSesame inline script python code for sending triggers through serial port to EEG device

Hi everyone,

I am collecting EEG while people answering to several multiple choice questions(created in OpenSesame. Two software will be run in two separate computers(Laptop and PC).I need to send triggers from Opensesame(run in laptop) to EEG software(run in PC) through serial ports as soon as a participant answers a question. does anyone know the inline scripts codes needed for the serial ports to communicate (i know my ports address) and also for sending triggers please?

I appreciate your help in advance

  • Hi Megen,

I think @Uros had a similar problem and if I am not mistaken solved it, as described in this thread:

You should check this out and try whether it makes sense to you, maybe Uros can also also help out a bit.

    Good luck!

  • Hi Eduard,

    Thanks for your reply.

I have already checked it but I don't know which part of the code is needed or how to adapt it for serial port (as TCP is different with serial and I do not know programming ). Is there an inline script code for sending triggers and also serial port that I can use as a template?

I really appreciate you and anyone that can guide me in advance.

    Kind regards

  • Hi Megen,

I don't have anything to offer and also nothing to experiment with to help you find out. Sorry!
