Surprising Bayes factor
Hi
I am new to Bayesian analysis, and would very much appreciate some advice.
I ran an independent t test using priors from a previous study.
The scale showed a very very small and non-significant difference between groups in both the previous study and my own.
However, the Bayes Factor returned was inconclusive (BF=1). I was expecting it to be much lower than this , ie supporting the null hypothesis (BF <.33).
Am I interpreting the BF incorrectly?

What was your t-value and what are the sample sizes? And what was your prior?
