Priors in JASP and brms

Dear all,

I just run some Regression models in JASP and the same models in brms. However, I get different posteriors. Do you know how to adjust the priors in brms so that I get the same results as in JASP?

Hi Cathy,

JASP offers a range of different priors, but all of them are designed to work for *testing*. My suspicion is that brms uses default priors that are designed to work for *estimation*. But I'd look up the brms documentation to see what priors they use, and then match that up with the JASP list (which is based on Merlise Clyde's BAS package).
