Multilevel analysis in JASP

I would like to know how to do multilevel analysis in JASP for following formula.

m <- lmer(y ~ music*image+ (1 | subject)+(1|subject:music)+(1|subject:image), data=dat)

anova(m)

  • Hi Satoru,

    the JASP implementation of GUI does not currently offer interaction of random grouping factors right now subject:music . For now, you can sidestep this issue by creating a compound variable "subject_music" that just contains a combination of those two levels and use it in the place of subject:music.

    You can do this easily in excel by the following function: =A1&"_"&B1 , assuming that the A1 cell contains the value for subject and B1 cell contains the values for music.
