desperate about getting data out of a Tobii Dynavox PCeye 5
I have purchased through my university two Tobii Dynavox PCeye 5 that work with microsoft surface tablets to conduct eye tracking research with children.
The eye trackers work great, but there is no available SDK (as advertised by the manufacturers when I bought them).
would it be possible to make PyGaze compatible with these Tobii dynavox models?
Or, as far as you know, is there anyway to access gaze data streaming via python/windows, or at least to log the eyetracking data in some way via windows?
I have always managed to use pygaze with eye link models as well as with the eye-tribe eyetracker, and it was such disappointment to see that this dynavox model is thus far of no use.

Sorry your question went under my radar.
Unfortunately, I am not too familiar with Tobiis, and also don't have an eyetracker at my disposal at the moment. So I can't really help you.
Generally though, you need some sort of interface to access your eye tracker and your data (otherwise the tools is useless). Given that you seem to be able to run the eye tracker (right?), you must have found a way to interact with it. Now the question is what other options you have to use that interface the tracker. The people that should know work at Tobii. Even if they have not delivered a SDK, there still must be an api that they should be able to provide info about. So maybe you can ask their user support?
Alternatively, you can try to dig aroud the pygaze package on github, to see what functions there are for other Tobii eye trackers and give it a shot in applying it to your tracker.
Whether there are options to do all that outside the Python-realm (quite likely!) and how you would use them, I have no clue.
So, bottom line, your best bet is to interact with the Tobii people and make them help you accessing your data. Given that they sold you a product, it is sort of their job, helping you using it.
