Repeated Measures Traditional ANOVA problem
I have a study with 1 repeated measures variable and 2 between-subjects factors. One of them is fine when I enter it into a repeated measures analysis, but the other one, which has three levels, shows up with the error message
I cannot figure out what I am doing wrong to keep getting this error message :-( I have tried to recode that variable from letters (text) to numbers. I am positive it is recorded as a nominal level variable in the variable name at the top of the column. I'm at a loss.
My number of factor levels is 3, so it is >2 in Cond (the variable name assigned, above, to a between-subjects factor and refers to a level of the manipulation).
Because it is a between-subjects factor it is entered in its own column and there are clearly participants who experienced each condition at each combined condition with the other between-subjects factor and each has an entry for the outcome variable, the DV, the repeated measures variable. The same as there are clearly participants who experienced each of the two levels of the other between-subjects factor which is having no problems. Why is this one giving me a problem?
Am I coding something wrong? Am I setting up my .cvs file wrong?
Can someone help me? I really want to know what happens individually when people participate in condition 1, for example, as a function of being assigned to condition 1 versus condition 2 on the other individual difference variable, at each level of the DV, the repeated measures variable. My brain hurts.
Comments
Hi ataylor,
Could you please save and send me the analysis file which leads to the error (as .JASP)? I can take a look and check what is wrong.
Cheers,
