Model comparison for structural invariance testing - paths equality constraints

Hi! I found this useful tutorial for measurement invarince testing: https://jasp-stats.org/2022/01/25/measurement-invariance-testing-using-the-structural-equation-modeling-sem-module-in-jasp/. I am looking for a way to compare models (like in the previous post) where in each new nested model, a different path will be constrained across groups.

Anyone know how would the syntax look like for that?

Thanky you in advance!

Lucy

  • *regression path

  • JASP implements lavaan syntax, so I think that your best course of action is to examine how the lavaan code would look (which is more of a question for a lavaan forum...)

  • Ok, great advice, you are right. Thank you! :)

I also managed to do it with some manul work (combining softver outputs and manual comparisons/calculations). But it would be great to have a quick option in Jasp.

I used analysis in Jasp for the scientific article.

I'll post the link here once the article is publicily available.

    Best regards, Lucy
