Difficulty with keyboard response and response time
Hey all! I'm a complete beginner in OpenSesame and I have been trying to create the metronome task that measures mind-wandering. Essentially, participants will be instructed to press the spacebar as soon as they hear a beep - there is however a slightly different beep which the participants will be instructed not to respond to. Response time will be measured. Therefore, I need to log the keyboard presses of the participants, but the time between the beeps needs to remain fixed. The issue I'm facing is that when the spacebar is pressed, it immediately moves to the next beep, which I do not want. Has anyone done anything similar?

I am also kind of a beginner so not sure how. much I can help, but here is an idea. Try setting the beep duration to a fixed time (the time of the beep) and not keypress. This way you make sure that all the beeps beep until the end. I believe this will however allow you to log the response only after the beep is over, not sure, you should test it.
