Creating a picture naming task

Dear friends,

I need to create an experiment for my thesis. I haven't used any similar tools. In my experiment, there will be pictures of words. Participants will response 'know', 'don't know' or 'don't remember'. After each response there will be a different scenario. For 'know and don't know' responses, the target words picture will be presented. For 'don't remember' responses, there will be 4 levels as showing a clue and the targetword, they will be asked if they know target and if they were searching for it. The design is a bit complex. I could not find a tutorial or a sample task. Can anybody help me? Thanks a lot in advance.

  • Hi @ipekcelik,

You description is too general to understand the necessary details of the task, but if you're a complete beginner, I would advise that you study the documentation and follow the tutorials provided (https://osdoc.cogsci.nl/3.3/tutorials/beginner/) which will will explain and demonstrate all the basic features you'll need for your task (including how to present a picture, take responses, set up trials information in a loop, provide feedback, etc.). It takes a little time and effort to get to grip with the basis but then after you should be able to program your task. If you do so and get stuck with a specific issue, don't hesitate to post the problem and the task to this forum.

    Good luck!

    Fabrice.
