Hi All, I was able to use the software after updating to the latest version with no issues for 1 day and then when i tried to upload some data the next day i got the following error message.  Could anyone help or point me in the right direction please.

It does mention to "unlock the drive from bitlocker", but this security feature is locked by our admins who require this to be on.

Thank you in advance.

  • This is really an issue for our GitHub page, but I'll direct out programmers here. My initial guess is that this is due to the admin settings. If you can't change these, what you can do is to download and unzip the pre-installed version of JASP.

  • Hi EJ,

Apologies , I wasn't aware & thank you - that would be much appreciated.

    Will await further information.

    Thank you

  • Hi,

I find quite strange what bitlocker does here... I have never heard about this problem with JASP. The admin of your system should have a look at it.

You can try anyway the suggestion of EJ, by downloading the pre-installed version: https://jasp-stats.org/thank-you-for-downloading-jasp-win64-zip/, preferably on a drive where bitlocker is not locking.

    Kind regards,

    Bruno

  • Hi Bruno

    Thank you for the response.

My only question with installing the pre-installed version is I wanted to use the Generalize Linear Model option within Regression which is why I updated to the latest version. Is this possible on the pre-installed or is this a limitation?

    Thank you.

  • The pre-installed version should work as the installed version, so the Generalize Linear Model option within Regression should work.

    Kind regards,

    Bruno

  • sorry forgot to update - this worked perfectly - thank you !!

  • Nice!

But I would still ask your system admin if they can change some settings of the bitlocker so that JASP can access the libraries.
