Post hoc t-tests: different results using different software

Hi!

I performed a Repeated measures ANOVA (2x2) with JASP and SPSS. The results of a post hoc t-test are very different. Using SPSS, the p-value of a post hoc t-test is 0.001 while using Jasp, this post hoc t-test is not significant (p=0.719).

Has anyone had the same problem and can explain to me why there is such a big difference in results between the different software?

Thanks

  • Hi @camillacaponi ,

Without your JASP file I cannot be sure where your analysis went wrong, because when I perform a RM ANOVA on your data, I think I obtain similar results as you report in SPSS. See the post hoc tests below (with Holm and Bonferoni correction).

Are these different from the results you obtained in JASP? You can open my analysis by downloading the jasp file below, and opening it with JASP.

    Kind regards,

    Johnny
