SEM chi-square result error

I'm doing a university exercise involving latent variable SEM.

I've been given instructions to create a model and after doing it my results for all fit measures and parameter estimates were correct but my chi-square value changed. The correct value is meant to be 174.183, which I got before, but upon rerunning the model without changing anything, I have 172.922. Is there something I may be doing leading to this?

When applying the model I selected the following from output options and estimation options: additional fit measures, Mardia's coefficient, standardized estimates, path diagram, modification indices, hide low indices, robust, ML, and Satorra-Bentler.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

  • Apologies all I just realized that by adding the structural component of the SEM in a separate models tab it can change the original model chi-square value.

  • no worries, thanks for letting us know!

    Cheers,
