Bayesian LMM - adapt delta/maximum tree depth

Hi,

is there a reference that clarifies the parameters of the MCMC algorithm used for Bayesian linear mixed models, in particular the parameters termed "Adapt delta" and "Maximum treedepth"?

I would also be interested in knowing which algorithm and implementation is used.
