The engine crashed while trying to run this analysis

Hello,

I urgently need your assistance please. I’ve used JASP in the recent past with success. I have had no problem until I downloaded version 0.17.2.1.

I have JASP files in previous versions where I successfully conducted many statistical analyses in 2021. I forget the version I had back then.

Now, I cannot run the simplest analysis of these older files in version 17.2.1. Not even editing the title of a graph!

I am facing a July 13 deadline to publish a paper. I need to conduct some data analyses and edit some titles in my graphs to satisfy the reviewers from a scientific journal.

I have changed laptop (Lenovo) to another Lenovo but the latest version that my university can supply me. The specs of my device are as follows:

Processor   12th Gen Intel(R) Core(TM) i5-1235U  1.30 GHz

Installed RAM    16.0 GB (15.7 GB usable)

System type 64-bit operating system, x64-based processor

I have also upgraded my Windows version to:

Edition     Windows 11 Enterprise

Version    22H2

I am running out of ideas.

  • The simplest in your case is to download a previous version of JASP: https://jasp-stats.org/previous-versions/

Note that it's very hard to get an idea what the problem is if you don't give any information about the problem/error received/screenshot/etc.

  • I would add that the team is eager to solve problems like these! But the best way to contact them is through our GitHub page (for details see https://jasp-stats.org/2018/03/29/request-feature-report-bug-jasp/). This Forum is meant for interpretational issues, whereas you are describing a bug (one that we would love to fix, but you need support from a programmer, not a methodologist)

Sorry about the tardy response, I stopped getting emails from the Forum somehow

    Cheers,

    E.J.
