Reading independent variables from file - OSWeb (OpenSesame 4.0)

Hi there,

after updating to OpenSesame 4.0, the experiment I created under the version 3.3 still worked fine except for the csv-files I had used to read variables within loop items. I used the same file that had worked when still on version 3.3 but would repeatedly get an error message.

I checked the documentation and tried a xlsx file instead but the error message told me that this format is not allowed. I only tested my experiment in the browser.

I managed to find a work-around but I'm curious to know what the issue is.

Any help is greatly appreciated!

Hi Barbara,

Can you provide the scripts and csv-files that you used? Like that it is easier for us to confirm whether this is indeed a bug, or something else weird.
