Reset-Test

Hello,

does anyone know whether JASP has the posiibility to to a reset-test? Like in SPSS? To check for non-linearity...?

  • Hi Carmen,

As far as I know, this test is not available in JASP. The developers usually prefer requests for new features to be made on GitHub, so they can more easily keep track of them. I made the request for you: [Feature Request]: Ramsey RESET test of functional form · Issue #2467 · jasp-stats/jasp-issues (github.com)

  • Thanks. I am not sure about the quality of the test though, but I have to look into it more.

  • I think this ought to go under regression -> linear regression -> statistics -> residuals. I am not sure how much it adds over what we already offer in terms of residual tests though.

  • You're welcome, I just wanted to this request where it belongs. Intuitively, I would agree with you, but it makes sense to at least have this request logged, so that any future requests can be tied to it?

  • Definitely, very useful, thanks for adding it!

Just wanted to put my thoughts out there. That being said, it seems to be a popular test.
