Prevent OpenSesame from jumping back to top of overview area

Hi there,

I have a rather long and complex experiment, so I have to scroll down in the overview area to see and work with all the items.

After moving or clicking an item, OpenSesame jumps back to the top of the overview area, which leads to ages of scrolling (because OpenSesame tends to slow down after a while; probably due to the size of the experiment) while debugging items at the bottom of the overview area.😄

I was wondering if there is a way to prevent the program from jumping back to the top of the overview area.

Thanks in advance!

Carla

  • Hi @CarlaC,

I don't think there is a way to prevent that.

You may want to examine whether your experiment can be condensed using some coding (if the expeirment contains a lot of redundancies, it most often be shortened using some programming).

Also, you can close the handles to make the srolling shorter:

Closing the handles hide a lot of objects that are located within loops and sequences.

    Hope this helps,

    Fabrice.
